Although not up to great standards, King George V Soccer Park in Glenorchy is the best soccer only facility in Tasmania. It
is the headquarters of Soccer Tasmania and is part of the KGV Sports Centre - including a Football
Ground and Swimming Pool.
The ground has a grandstand on one wing, a terrace behind the Western Goals and stading room (or carparking room) around
the rest of the park. Its overall capacity is about 6,500, though it has never been tested.
In its history the ground has hosted two first class matches - between Tasmania and the Ollyroos in 1992, which the
National team won 3-0, and also a match between the Socceroos and Tasmania in 1984 which Australia won 2-0.
The ground is home to the Hobart Zebras, Hobart Olympic and the Glenorchy Knights in the STSA.
